Large pastel immortalising Carole Lombard before her disappearance in a plane crash in 1942, pencil and watercolour drawing by the painter André Dunoyer de Segonzac representing his actress wife Thérèse Dorny… Dominique de Francqueville appreciates the art of portraiture from the 1850s to 1950. Based at the Marché Dauphine for 10 years, Dominique delicately combines genre scenes and still lifes from the same period, painted in oil, watercolour or pastel. Some of the names he exhibits can be found in major public collections (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes, Prints Cabinet of the National Library of France, National Center for Plastic Arts, Musée d’Orsay, etc.) or private.
