Manuel Vonthron started as a restorer of antique paintings. She is a self-educated artist who has lived and worked in Paris for all her life. Her paintings have traveled from the Carrousel du Louvre to Beijing, crossed the Atlantic Ocean, landed in Genova, Hamburg, Berlin, Marbella. Her paintings found a new home in many private or public collections, among which the Centre Georges Pompidou. Manuele’s paintings are alive, always moving. The subject is the painting itself and what constitutes it; the only tool is the gesture. So her technique never stops evolving. After she graduated from ENSCI School and got her master degree in Creations and Contemporary Technologies in 2015, she started incorporating digital tools and machines in her creation process.
