So many fineries, so many “Frills and Flounces”… Falbalas, the name Françoise and Erwan de Fligué chose for their impressive booths full of vintage fashion, is totally appropriate, it is a direct reference to Jacques Becker’s eponym film. It also refers to another character, the sexy blonde muse featured in Asterix cartoons. Here, the show is about dresses, suits and accessories (hats, glasses, corsets, shoes including contemporary creations inspired by ancient models). The oldest ones date back to the 18th century, the most recent ones are from the 1970s. Among the jewels (very rare of course) you can find one-off pieces created by small fashion houses between 1910 and 1960. Fashion designers, costume designers, collectors, these are part of the visitors who often come here.

Note that Erwan is a registered expert (CNES) on vintage fashion, lace, and embroideries.
