Chest of drawers, « cartonnier », notary chest… and smaller 19th century objects: inkstands, sewing kits, cigar boxes: they are all available on Richard Rosset’s booth.
They are made of precious woods (ebony, rosewood, violet wood) and often inlaid with mother-of-pearl or ivory.
Richard Rosset started working after three years of cabinet making studies. He joined a leather-casing workshop in Paris where he developed a passion for leather craft. Seven years later, in May 1989, he opened his own workshop under the trade name ARTS & CUIRS. He has been working for antique dealers, cabinet makers and decorators, as well as palaces, National buildings like Hotel Matignon, the Cour des Comptes….
Richard Rosset, leather-caser and leather-gilder, has received the reward «Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant » delivered by the French State.
